Our physicians are not part of the Régie d’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ). As such, if you use our professional services, you will have to pay directly for the services we will provide you. You will not be able to claim or obtain from the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec the reimbursement of the cost of the services you have paid. The health insurance card is not accepted but we will provide you with a receipt for your eligible medical expenses for the purposes of the tax credit. We accept credit cards, debit cards and cash as payment methods.
The regulations concerning the coverage by the health insurance card of incidental costs or ultrasounds performed by clinical radiologists applies to physicians participating in the RAMQ (in the public plan). In order to avoid any confusion, we would like to remind you that the doctors of the Sports Medicine Clinic of L’Avenir are non-participants in the RAMQ (private practice).
We would also like to point out that most of our physicians are sports and exercise physicians with the certification of the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise and the certificate of additional competency in Sports Medicine and Exercise Medicine. of the CFPC. They are not a radiologist and use ultrasound in a targeted and complementary way to their history and physical examination to establish their diagnosis and guide their infiltration. If you want to get an ultrasound report from a radiologist, we advise you to go to a radiology clinic or hospital center.
